Blogging for Business
My mom recently asked me to make a website for her new business. She’s currently selling Fern-C, the non-acidic, alkaline vitamin c. She had this idea to take the business online so it could reach more people, or at least expose the product more. Eventually she’s hoping to take more orders online, I guess. So I was doing the layout for her website, and thought that maybe it would be cool to include a business blog of some sort. It would definitely make updating articles a lot easier. On one hand, I didn’t know if it would be superfluous to the site, on the other hand, a lot of successful businesses already do have a business blog that’s updated and maintained by committed individuals.
I found this article, How Blogs Can Help Your Business. It does make sense. I mean, the internet is a powerful marketing tool, I guess it would pay to use it. Fern-C is actually a great product, and its business plan is a great idea, I think that probably an integrated, SEO-friendly blog would help with the “visibility” part that the article is talking about.
Well, I still have a long way to go. I’ve only finished designing the first page. Hopefully it will go live tomorrow, if all things work for me (read: if the internet connection behaves and lets me upload stuff, i really should reformat this PC again).
