website structure in web design
It’s a long story but I’ve decided to pursue a homebased career for now. I know, I know, it’s a risky thing to do, considering the state of things in the economy. However, I think it’s going to be worth it. Aside from posting my resume online as a freelance writer, I’m also trying to finish studying HTML and CSS web design. Many months ago, I had an idea that I can add web designing to my skills (along with whipping up a killer pot of nilagang baka for my husband). I just got sidetracked from the project by so many different things that I want to try. I guess if I really would focus on something, I can be very good at it.
Anyway, I just thought that learning to design a website would really help in link building and boosting page rank. So I’m starting from scratch again. Basic HTML. Basic CSS. I should really make a commitment to follow through this time.
I’ve also been reading about how organized website structure is a must in web design. Establishing name conventions, thinking out the structure of directories, linking each other in a logical and easy to understand method, having a sitemap. I’ve never really put much thought into that because Wordpress spoiled me. Yeah, that’s my excuse, and I’m sticking to it.
